I woke slowly and it fells like my whole body is shrouded with a sickly fog. My limbs seemed to move as if through water and it took a few minutes to start making sense of the room around me.

It was a cold sterile room I was lying in an old hospital bed with metal sidings and a thin and lumpy mattress, the walls were a washed out very light blue the floor tiles were a dark blue almost black it was so dark.

There were no windows and only one door, painted the same faded blue as the walls the only other object in the room was a small wooden stool sitting at the foot of my bed.

Thoughts started to come a little quicker as the fog started to slowly dispurce in my  head. Why was I here? What was going on? How did I get here? Why couldn’t I remember anything? Who am I?

My thoughts came to a jarring stop as the door flew open and an old man in a white coat with glasses and a clipboard walked in his hair was almost as white as his coat despite being clearly of an old age he had a strength about him and a comanding presence and in a harty boisterous manner he almost yelled in a thick british accent
“Ahh good your up then I see, good good gave us quite the scare for a minute there young lad almost thought we had lost you. Yes nasty stuff. But all is well now, you just relax and get some rest this should help with that.”
With that he slipped a neddle into my arm. I wanted to fight back but I was still too hazy from first waking. Before he even had time to pull the neddle out everything faded to black…

Bruce Lee the martial arts master kung-fu personified  and DaVinci the renacsonise distilled in to one man.

Both top of multiple fields both inspiring countless copy cats none of whom could live up to the genius of the original, but which one would win in a battle of the cullenary arts.

As always first a little about the contestants.

BRUCE LEE

Real name Lee Jun-Fan

Born: November 27, 1940, San Francisco, California, United States

Died: July 20, 1973, Kowloon Tong, Hong Kong.
Lee was apart from an amazing martial artist a champion boxer and ball room dancer. He also stared in five full length movies and started his own form of martial arts.
And of course a few quotes.
“Mistakes are always forgivable, if one has the courage to admit them.”
“If you spend too much time thinking about a thing, you’ll never get it done.”
“A goal is not always meant to be reached, it often serves simply as something to aim at.”
“All fixed set patterns are incapable of adaptability or pliability. The truth is outside of all fixed patterns.”
And the other challenger.

LEONARDO DA VINCI
Full name Leonardo di ser Piero da Vinci
Born: April 15, 1452, Anchiano, Italy
Died: May 2, 1519, Amboise, France
DaVinci was one of the greatest minds to have left his mark on the history of western civilization. An artist, engineer mathematician, musician and inventor he achived more in each of these fields than most great masters could of any one field and was possibly the most creative man to live.
And of course quotes.
“Art is never finished, only abandoned”
“When once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always long to return.”
“Nothing strengthens authority so much as silence.”
“Anyone who conducts an argument by appealing to authority is not using his intelligence; he is just using his memory.”
But which of these great masters can make the best five course meal!
Bruce Lee will put his time spent between the US and China to good use and have a mixing of eastern and weatern cusine. Always one to use the best parts of whatever he found and discarding the parts he fould useless. He would throw up a varied and dynamic meal of strong flavours quick shifts.
DaVinci on the other hand who found subtly to be one of the great tools for an artist would have each dish complement the last picking from the best he had experienced in Italy and France during his time living in each. His creativity is also bound to come into play unleashing something never before seen or tasted.
This battle goes to DA VINCI!
